Where to Stay In Marrakech
There are so many riads in Marrakech that picking one might be overwhelming.
For those of you who don't know, a riad is a traditional Moroccan home that is built around an open courtyard and has since been converted into a hotel. This is in my opinion the best way to stay in Marrakech (not to mention many of these riads offer breakfast with your booking, and trust me you're going to love Moroccan breakfast).
We stayed at Riad Jardin Secret. The pink terraces and lush courtyard attracted me right away, and luckily since we went in February (which is considered off season) we got a great deal on the room.
We were served breakfast each morning and check out this spread... so delicious! I need this kind of service every day!
We also ate lunch twice on the terrace where the meal was prepared by their in-house vegetarian chef and it was SO delicious. Even my meat eater boyfriend loved it ;). We were prepared fresh juices with every meal along with a starter, main dish, and dessert.
This riad was also in a great location.. not far from anything we wanted to experience in the medina. For me personally, the cherry on top was the adorable dogs that were relaxing and hanging out with us on the sunny terrace.
Our room was not large but did the job since we didn't need to spend much time there, the only downside was the weird plumbing smell in the bathroom and the fact that the bathroom door didn't close.... BUT Besides its little quirks, the riad was absolutely stunning and the staff was incredibly kind. We would definitely come back and stay here again.
