You can never get bored in Thailand.. there is so much to do and I'm pretty sure it all provides stunning views and landscapes :) I'd like to share with you some of the fun stuff we did around Krabi Town.
I didn't think it would be possible to find an empty beach in Thailand, especially one so close to Ao Nang, but we did it. Just look at this place. There were only a couple people on the complete opposite end from us. The trick is to show up early people! We had this place completely to ourselves until we left to go get some lunch, and just because its early doesn't mean its not just as hot and the water just as warm. This beach is called Nopparat Thara and if you walk all the way down to the end you'll end up in this paradise 🙌🏽.
Next up, Railay Beach. This is definitely not something "off the beaten path" but it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. You can get a taxi boat pretty cheap from Krabi or Ao Nang and spend the day here. There are tourist stands galore, but also some yummy juice stands and food stops. The best part for me was seeing the Dusky Langur monkeys. I knew there would be Macaques everywhere in Thailand but the Dusky Langur is so cute I was ecstatic to see them (and a baby!) so close.
Last but certainly not least was the hike we did in Krabi called Tab Kak Hang Nak Hill! After reading a couple blog posts on this hike I thought it was going to be a piece of cake... but with the heat and humidity I was a total drama queen the whole time dying the whole way up haha! You can tell by what I wore that I was completely unprepared LOL. In total its about a 3-4 hour trip, with some time spent up top.
We grabbed a cab from Krabi Town and paid him to wait for us at the bottom. The hike can be quite steep at times and you definitely should wear bug spray and bring lots of water. Once you get closer to the end of the trail you pass some gorgeous viewpoints as you climb over bolders and tree roots. Its great because theres also not a lot of people on the trail so you get it practically to yourself. The entire trip you'll hear the cicadas and if you're lucky the monkeys in the trees. It's really beautiful in there! Obviously when you reach the end its totally worth all the sweat. The view spans for miles and is breathtakingly beautiful. The Thai landscape is unlike anything else.
Have you been to any of these places around Krabi before? Let me know what you love the most :)
